Bomb Shelter Restoration
Upgrade existing facilities designed to
provide new CBRE filtering systems and
protection from blast loading and ground shock.
During the Cold War many countries built fallout shelters for high-ranking government officials and crucial military facilities. In some cases makeshift shelters were fashioned from existing buildings with sturdy below-ground-level basements. These buildings were usually placarded with the yellow and black trefoil sign (right). The corrosive effects of time may have left these structures unprotected.
Hardened Structures has the engineering know-how to evaluate these types of antiquated facilities and develop a plan to renovate and restore these structures to mitigate modern day threats.
